Man admits to having sex with 1,000 cars

Meet Edward Smith, an American, who never got attracted to men or women because he finds 'cars' sexually attractive. Smith who's living in with "a Volkswagen Beetle named VanillaSmith" right now, says his most intense sexual experience was "making love" to a helicopter.

The 'car lover' came ou t only recently when he agreed to be interviewed as part of a channel Five documentary, reports Mid Day.

The Telegraph quoted him, as saying: "I appreciate beauty and I go a little bit beyond appreciating the beauty of a car only to the point of what I feel is an expression of love."

Smith who first had sex with a car at 15, asserts he's not sick and says cars are just his 'preference'. He says his most intense sexual experience was "making love" to the helicopter from 1980s TV hit Airwolf.



Apart from his current live-in partner Vanilla, he also has occasional 'flings' with a 1973 Opal GT, named Cinnamon, and 1993 Ford Ranger Splash, named Ginger. He admits having sex with the cars belonging to strangers and in showrooms.

Smith's last relationship with a woman was 12 years ago and could not consummate it. But he did have sex with girls in his younger days.

Describing his passion for car in one sentence, he says, "it's something that grew as a part of me when I was a kid and I could not shake it."

Smith is also a part of a community of more than 500 "car lovers".
